Summer Refreshing Thirst Quenching Drink Perilla Juice
1.
This is the perilla that I just bought. Pick the leaves and wash them.
2.
Add water to the pot, the amount of water used is less than the perilla leaves. When heated to a boil, you can see that almost all the purple on the perilla is not boiled into the water, but the leaves turn green, just like dyed leaves.
3.
Remove the leaves, filter out the remaining purple juice, and then return to the pot. Add a tablespoon of lemon juice. The color of the juice will immediately turn into a beautiful magenta. The function of lemon juice is to make the color beautiful, if not, you can use white vinegar instead.
4.
Add sugar or honey and boil the perilla juice on a low fire to thicken it, then put it in a clean container and store it in the refrigerator.
5.
When drinking, add ice cubes, add some lemon juice if you like sour, or add some sugar if you like sweet. In short, you can adjust the taste by yourself. It is cool and delicious, dissipates heat and relieves heat, and has a unique aroma of perilla.
