Sweet and Sour Hawthorn Cake
1.
The first thing to do is to use a tool to dig out the bottom and the core of the hawthorn, remove the stalk, and clean it.
2.
Add water and hawthorn to the food processor to make a paste
3.
Add the mashed hawthorn paste to the stainless steel pot for heating, add brown sugar to it, and add the frozen powder cut into sections
4.
Heat until the jelly powder is completely melted, add the boiled hawthorn paste to the oiled deep dish, and keep it in the refrigerator for six hours
5.
When the hawthorn paste is condensed into hawthorn cake, you can take it out. Pour out the hawthorn cake on the cutting board and cut it into any shape with a knife.
Tips:
1. Do not use ironware for cooking hawthorn paste. Try to use stainless steel or ceramic pots. Because hawthorn has a certain acidity, it is easy to boil the hawthorn juice black with an iron pot;
2. The amount of frozen powder needs to be added or reduced according to the amount of moisture;
3. Because the frozen powder will thicken during the cooking process, it is easy to stick to the bottom of the pot, so the pot should be turned to a low heat, and the bottom of the pot should be stirred with a spoon frequently to avoid the bottom of the pot;
4. Let the cooked hawthorn cake cool thoroughly and then put it in the refrigerator until the temperature drops to about three or four degrees.
