Winter Melon Tea

Prepare the materials;

Wash the skin of winter melon, save the skin, flesh and seeds, and cut into small cubes. The skin, flesh and seeds are good things, don't remove them;

Put the brown sugar in the diced winter melon;

Stir evenly and let stand for more than half an hour;

Winter melon will produce a lot of water after being pickled, so there is no need to boil it;

Add rock sugar and salt and cook together, don’t be afraid that the rock sugar is too big, it will definitely melt after 2 hours;

Bring to a boil on high heat, turn to the minimum heat and cook for 2 hours, using a low heat method to boil slowly;

After 2 hours, the winter melon will rot when touched, let it stand and cool;

Use gauze or a strainer to squeeze out all the water in the wax gourd residue and bottle it. This is a concentrated product and needs to be mixed with water to drink;

Tips:
1. There is a layer of white powder on the skin of winter melon, which can not be washed out with water. You can gently scrape it out with a knife and then clean it;
2. Add a pinch of salt to increase the flavor of winter melon tea, just pinch it with your hands;
3. When I filter the winter melon, I filter it with a filter first, and then filter it again with gauze. I still feel that the juice is not completely wrung out. To avoid waste, I pour the cold boil into the winter melon dregs and filter it out to drink, and it is still thick. Strong taste of winter melon;
4. It is no problem to put the concentrated winter melon tea in the refrigerator for more than ten days, but it is recommended to drink it as soon as possible.
