The lotus paste filling was dug out from the Shuanghuang lotus paste moon cakes of last year’s Mid-Autumn Festival. The cakes were kept in the freezer for several months and no one had eaten them. Half of the year has passed. No matter how bad they are, they will be wasted. Use it to make wormwood. The lotus seed paste and glutinous rice are also pretty good.

Wormwood Lotus Paste and Glutinous Rice

1. Wash the wormwood with water

2. Boil the water in the pot, put the wormwood in it and cook for five minutes

3. Put a proper amount of moxa water and wormwood in the cooking machine to make a paste

4. Sift glutinous rice flour

5. Add sugar to glutinous rice flour and mix well

6. Pour the moxa paste into the glutinous rice flour and mix well

7. Put the well-mixed wormwood glutinous rice flour into the pot and steam for five minutes, take it out and let it cool

8. Put on disposable gloves, take a small piece of wormwood glutinous rice ball and make it into a cake crust, wrap it with lotus seed paste, and make it into a round shape.

9. Put it into a bowl filled with coconut paste, and let the glutinous rice nourish all around with the coconut paste.

Tips:

Wear gloves when making glutinous rice zi. It is best to rub some oil on the gloves so that the glutinous powder is not sticky
