Yam and Red Date Cake

Wash yam and peel, and red dates.

Yam slices, can be thinly sliced, steamed and easily crushed

Steam in a pot on cold water until the yam is soft

Let it cool until it’s not hot. Peel and remove the red dates. The extra-grade Ruoqiang gray dates I bought are more porcelain and sweet, so I add a little bit of water to grind it into a fine paste.

Put your favorite mold in the plate and spread a layer of yam mud

Spread a layer of red date mud and then a layer of yam mud

Tips:
Be patient when peeling and pitting the red dates. If you don’t want to layer them, you can also directly remove the pits of the red dates and beat them with the yam, then put them in a mold. You can also just leave the red dates, the yam is ready to be shaped and topped with your favorite jam and you can eat it.
