Yuqian Cornmeal Hair Cake

Preparation materials: ordinary flour, cornmeal (I used fine cornmeal), red dates, baking powder, elm money

Mix the baking powder and water and let stand for a few minutes

Pour flour, cornmeal and elm money into a basin

Wash the red dates, remove the pit, and cut into small pieces for later use

The dried dough is bigger than the original, because it contains cornmeal and elm money, it does not ferment as well as ordinary flour. Sprinkle the red dates on the dough and press it slightly with your hands

Put it in a pot of boiling water and steam for 25 minutes, then take it out, let it cool and you can eat it

Tips:
1. Wash yuqian before eating.
2. The dough should be fermented and then steamed in the pot.
3. Those who don't like to eat cornmeal can replace the cornmeal in the recipe with flour or other coarse grains.
4. In order to facilitate demoulding, before putting the dough into the mould for fermentation, you can use a brush to dip some cooking oil and apply it in the mould.
5. If there is no mold, other small discs and other high temperature resistant containers can also be used.
