Yuqian Cornmeal Hair Cake
1.
Prepare raw materials: ordinary flour, cornmeal (I used fine cornmeal), red dates, baking powder, elm money.
2.
After mixing the baking powder and water, let it stand for a few minutes.
3.
Pour the flour, cornmeal and elm money into a basin.
4.
Stir them evenly with chopsticks.
5.
Slowly pour the baking powder and water into the basin and stir constantly with chopsticks.
6.
Finally knead it into a softer dough.
7.
Put the dough in a round basin, press it flat with your hands, and leave it in a warm place to ferment.
8.
Wash the red dates, remove the pits, and cut into small pieces for later use.
9.
The dried dough is bigger than the original, because it contains cornmeal and elm money, it does not ferment as well as ordinary flour. Sprinkle the red dates on the dough and press it lightly with your hands.
10.
Put it in a pot of boiling water and steam for 25 minutes before taking it out. Let it cool and you can eat it.
11.
The sweetness of red dates, the fragrance of elm money, the rough taste of cornmeal, wow, this is the taste I want to eat.
12.
