1. Soak the red beans one night in advance.

4. Put the soaked red beans in an iron pot, add enough water, twice as much as the red beans, bring to a boil on high heat and turn to medium heat.

12. Cover the mouth with zong leaves and wrap it tightly along the zongzi shape. Finally, wrap the mouth with cotton thread and tie a knot.

13. Put the wrapped zongzi into the pot, add enough cold water, 5 cm below the zongzi, the fire will boil, and the house will be filled with the fragrance of the zongzi.

14. Turn to medium and low heat and cook for 1 hour, turn off the heat, soak for half an hour, and cook for another hour. The glutinous rice will be soft and waxy.
