Brown Sugar Glutinous Rice Lotus Root

Soak the glutinous rice in clean water overnight.

Peel the lotus root and wash it, cut off about one-fifth of the lotus root, and make a lid on the small part. Prepare brown sugar, red dates and rock sugar.

Drain the glutinous rice, pour the glutinous rice into the lotus root hole little by little, and poke tightly with chopsticks.

Put the lid on and fasten it with a toothpick.

Put the lotus root in a boiling pot, add enough water to completely cover the lotus root, add brown sugar, red dates, and rock sugar. After boiling on high heat, turn to low heat and simmer for two hours. Turn off the heat and leave it for several hours. Turn the lotus body two to three times during this period.

Take out the boiled lotus root, slice into a plate.
Tips:
According to personal taste, you can increase the amount of sugar for sweet ones, and drizzle with soup or honey when eating.
