Candied Orange Peel

The oranges are scrubbed with salt, washed with water, and cut up

Cut off the orange zest with a bread knife

Add appropriate amount of water to the pot, add orange zest, and cook for about 10 minutes on high heat

Take out the orange peel, continue to remove the white material on the peel, and cut into small strips

Add 100 grams of water and 100 grams of white sugar to the pot, add the sliced orange zest, simmer slowly on low heat, stir while cooking, cook until the orange zest is transparent, and turn off the heat (this process will take a long time)

Take out the cooked orange zest and let it cool on the plate for 1 hour or overnight

Sprinkle sugar on top and wait for the orange peel to absorb
Tips:
1. Choose a better orange, the skin will be thinner;
2. It is better to cut the orange peel into small pieces first, and try to remove the white substance on it, because it is bitter;
3. Slowly cook on low heat, stirring while cooking, to prevent sticking to the pan.
