Cold Lotus Root with Sweet and Spicy Sauce

Prepare the ingredients.

The lotus root is peeled and cut into thin slices with a thickness of about 1 mm. Soaking in water to remove starch can prevent it from turning black.

The starch can also be washed away with small running water.

Boil water in a pot to about 90 degrees, add lotus root slices.

After adding the lotus root, the water can be boiled. Forget that the lotus root can't be boiled in an iron pot, it will turn black.
