Cranberry Cookies
1.
Weigh all the ingredients, and soften the butter at room temperature in advance.
2.
If the cranberry particles are large, chop them first and set aside.
3.
After the butter has softened, add powdered sugar and mix well. No need to pass. (This is the first time I have made it. The butter is heated in a microwave oven, and it softens too much. If the dough is too wet, it will affect the final biscuit.)
4.
Add a tablespoon of 15 ml whole egg liquid.
5.
Stir well.
6.
Sift in a good amount of low-gluten flour gently.
7.
Use a spatula to mix while pressing, and stir until there is no dry powder and a dough shape.
8.
Pour in the chopped dried cranberries and stir evenly with a spatula.
9.
Shape the dough into a rectangular parallelepiped column with a height of about 4CM and a width of about 6CM by hand, and freeze it in the refrigerator until it is hard (it takes about 1 hour, whether it is frozen or not).
10.
The frozen rectangular dough is cut into slices with a thickness of about 0.8cm with a knife, and the oven is preheated up and down at 170 degrees.
11.
The cut biscuits are placed on a baking tray lined with greased paper.
12.
Place the baking tray on the middle layer and bake at 170 degrees for 20 minutes.
13.
The surface of the biscuits should be golden yellow, and they must be stared at the edge of the oven until the last few minutes of baking to avoid over-coloring. .
14.
After roasting, place on the grill to cool.
15.
The cooled biscuits are packed into a sealed glass jar.
Tips:
1. The butter is softened at room temperature. If it is too soft, put it in the refrigerator and cool it down.
2. When slicing the dough, it must be cut evenly thick, so that the biscuits will be even when baking.
3. Every oven is different, so the baking time is just a reference, and you have to grasp the specific time yourself.
4. If there is a cookie mold, you can put the dough directly in the mold, if not, you can find a box with plastic wrap to replace it, and the effect is similar.
5. This formula can make about 16 biscuits. If you want to make more, just add more ingredients.
