Fried Brie with Spiced Cherries
1.
Pick off the stems and pits of the black cherries.
2.
Add star anise, cinnamon, vanilla pod, ginger and other spices together in the tea bag.
3.
Put the cherries in the pot with the sugar and spice bag and cover with water. After the high heat is boiled, turn off the heat and continue to cook until all the water has evaporated, then cool for later use.
4.
Sift the flour and add salt.
5.
Beat in 1 egg, pour in sunflower oil (10ml), milk, and stir well until the batter is smooth.
6.
Take the egg whites of the remaining 2 eggs and beat them with an electric whisk until stiff foaming.
7.
Add the whipped meringue to the batter by cutting and mixing, and mix well.
8.
Cut the Brie cheese into small pieces about 2 cm square.
9.
Pour oil in the fryer and heat to about 160°C. After the cheese cubes are spread on the batter, quickly put them in hot oil and fry them until they are golden in color and can be taken out with a colander. Use a kitchen paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
10.
Serve while hot and stewed black cherries with spices.
Tips:
1 Try to ensure that the cheese balls can be quickly immersed in the oil after the batter is put in the pan. After the batter is shaped, adjust the position to ensure that the heating is even, so as to avoid holes due to uneven expansion of the batter and cause the cheese to flow away.
2 In order to make it easier to paste, some more batter was specially made this time. Excess batter will not be wasted. It can be made into pancakes, which is simple and delicious.
3 Cheese balls and boiled cherries have a very good flavor. It is recommended to eat the two together for an extraordinary experience.
