Ginger Longan and Red Date Syrup
1.
Choose old ginger, slice and squeeze into juice.
2.
Dried red dates and longans are cut into small pieces, and the ginger juice is squeezed and can be filtered. Stew with ginger juice, brown sugar and Ophiopogon japonicus in water. After the sugar has melted, add red dates and dried longan and continue to simmer for half an hour.
3.
I have a saucepan, so the sugar is melted and poured directly into it and simmered for half an hour.
4.
After half an hour, pour into a non-stick pan and simmer on low heat until the syrup is thick.
5.
After letting cool, pour it into an air-tight tank without water and oil, which can be stored for a long time.
Tips:
You only need one to two teaspoonfuls of boiling water for each drink. Drinking too much ginger juice can cause dryness and flushing. Adding Ophiopogon can relieve it and moisturize the lungs at the same time. The finished product is about 900g.
