Grapefruit Yogurt

Take a large container with good airtightness, plastic or glass, but the airtightness must be good. There should be no holes in the lid. The key is to wash it clean and oil-free. It is best to have no vegetables or anything before. For a new bowl, use boiling water to rinse the inner wall of the bowl and the inside of the bowl cover with boiling water to disinfect and sterilize. If the sealing of the bowl is not good, there is oil or other food odors, impurities in the bowl, or the boiling water is not properly disinfected , The finished yogurt is easy to spoil, so if you often make yogurt at home, it is recommended to use a clean bowl to make yogurt instead of other things

One box of plain yogurt and four bags of pure milk (without sugar). The yogurt is used as an enzyme here. If there is bacterial powder, you can also use bacterial powder as the seed, but I usually choose the one I like The first is to save trouble, and the second is because the good formula of yogurt and probiotics are very good, and it tastes much better than a single bacterial powder. So you use a kind of yogurt. Plant your favorite yogurt, and then cultivate the yogurt, the taste is the same

Pour yogurt and pure milk into a sterilized container, stir evenly with a small spoon, and the small spoon should be disinfected with boiling water in advance

Put in the middle of the oven

Select the fermentation function, if your oven does not have a fermentation button, set the upper and lower heat to 30 degrees

Close the oven door and ferment for 6-8 hours (usually 6 hours is sufficient when using milk at room temperature and the weather is not too cold. If ice milk is used or the room temperature is very low in winter, the time should be extended accordingly. Generally 8 hours is sufficient. Don’t take longer than 10 hours. If it takes too long, it will be made into milk tofu)

I took this picture after 6 hours and 30 minutes. You can see that it is a little bit solidified, a bit like old yogurt. If you prefer something less thick and refreshing, you can shorten the time.

Then add white granulated sugar, adjust the amount of sugar according to your own taste, add more if you like sweet, or less if you don’t like sweet.
