Sugar porridge lotus root is a snack in Nanjing, Jiangsu. Put brown sugar in the porridge and boil it with glutinous rice. Then increase the lotus root section. When eating, cut the lotus root section into thin slices and mix in the porridge.
In view of the kitchen conditions at home, my sugar porridge lotus root is slightly adjusted compared to the authentic sugar porridge lotus root production process. The big section lotus root section is not boiled. When eating, cut the lotus root section into thin slices and stir in the porridge. Instead, cut the lotus root directly into slices and boil it with glutinous rice. The soft boiled lotus root and glutinous glutinous rice taste very good when paired with it.

1. Wash the glutinous rice and soak in cold water for 30 minutes

Tips:

The glutinous rice is soaked and then cooked, the porridge will be thicker and taste better.
Dried longan is easier to boil through after soaking.
Longan can be added or not. Red dates can also be added.
The amount of brown sugar is added according to personal taste.
