Kidney Bean and Red Date Bread
1.
Soak the red kidney beans in water for half a day in advance to soften, so that they are easy to boil
2.
I cooked it in a pressure cooker for 5 minutes and it was very soft
3.
Crush it with a colander, and the soup will stay in it
4.
Put the dried red dates in and soak for about 1 hour to allow the dried dates to fully absorb the soup inside.
5.
Crush it at the end. I want to eat a little grainy filling, so I didn’t use a food processor. If you like finely crushed ones, you can break the cooked beans with a food processor first, so that the filling will be very delicate
6.
Take 300 grams of the prepared filling and divide it into 6 filling balls
7.
Put all the ingredients in the main ingredient except butter in the bread bucket
8.
Start the kneading program, add softened butter after 10 minutes, and continue kneading
9.
Knead the dough to the expansion stage, the bread machine is different, the time is different, I used about 25 minutes this time
10.
You can pull out the glove film, this film is still a bit thick, I will extend the kneading for another 2 minutes
11.
Cover with plastic wrap and ferment to 2--3 times the size
12.
The fermented dough is exhausted
13.
Divide into 6 noodles, cover with plastic wrap and relax for 10 minutes
14.
Take a pasta and squeeze it, wrap it with fillings, and pack it tightly
15.
Roll out into a long shape, cut in the middle, but don't cut both ends
16.
Stretch and twist
17.
Twisted into a circle like a knot
18.
Put it all in the baking tray
19.
Spray water in the oven, or put a bowl of hot water under it to ferment with the fermentation function. There must be moisture, otherwise the skin will be dry, which will affect the development of the bread
20.
Ferment to double the size, take out the egg wash liquid
21.
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 5 or else, bake for 15 minutes
22.
Toasted bread. There is not a lot of sugar, but with the addition of red dates, it is still sweet enough, it is a healthy and delicious bread.
Tips:
I also didn't add sugar to the filling, because the dried red dates are very sweet, and I think the sweetness is enough. If you like sweeter ones, you can add some sugar
