Laminaria and kelp belong to the same family, but they are more nutritious than kelp. Laminaria is a kind of seaweed with high iodine content. Eating more kelp can prevent this disease, prevent arteriosclerosis, and reduce the accumulation of cholesterol and lipids.
The sodium alginate in kelp has the effect of preventing leukemia; it also has hemostatic effect on arterial bleeding. Oral administration can reduce the absorption of the radioactive element strontium-90 in the intestine. Sodium alginate has a hypotensive effect.
