Glutinous rice, barley, yellow millet, red adzuki beans, black beans, purple rice, and jujube are washed repeatedly with clean water.

Soak the lotus seeds in hot water for 20 minutes and remove the core.

Bring 2 liters of water to a boil, put the ingredients in boiling water, turn to low heat and cook for 2 hours. Then add rock sugar and stir until it melts.
Tips:
The ingredients of Laba Congee vary with local products. There is a mixture of eight things for cooking on the eighth day of the first day. Among them, rice, carrots, and greens are the three essential treasures. In addition, there are peanuts (or soybeans), lotus seeds, ginkgo, tofu or oily tofu, taro and other ingredients. If you want to add more ingredients, you can put Sichuan fungus, red dates, and vegetarian bean cakes, but not vegetarian ham or mushrooms.
The ingredients of the current Laba porridge are determined by personal taste, generally rice, peanuts, mung beans, red beans, lotus seeds, etc. Other optional supplements include lentils, red dates, longan, yam, lily, wolfberry, barley, millet, and other beans.
