Matcha Yogurt Christmas Tree Cake
1.
I use thick plain yogurt
2.
Cut the butter into small pieces and heat it to melt, then mix with the yogurt and stir well
3.
Add 4 egg yolks in four times, add each egg yolk and mix well before adding the next egg yolk
4.
Sift the low-gluten flour and cornstarch into the egg yolk paste
5.
Sift in the matcha powder
6.
Stir well and set aside
7.
Add the fine sugar in three times, beat the egg whites until moist and foam, lift the whisk to have a small curved hook
8.
Add one-third of the beaten egg white to the matcha egg yolk paste, and stir evenly with a silicone spatula
9.
Pour back into the remaining egg whites
10.
Stir evenly
11.
Brush the mold with butter in advance
12.
Pour the batter into the mold, gently shake out bubbles, put the mold on the baking tray, and pour hot water about 1 cm high in the baking tray.
13.
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and put it in the mold. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 50 minutes
14.
After seeing the coloring of the cake, cover it with tin foil, this is how it looks like it’s baked out of the oven
15.
It is very convenient to release the mold
16.
Decorate with icing sugar, sugar beads, coconut paste
Tips:
The matcha yogurt Christmas tree cake made by the water bath method is a bit like cheese, but not so greasy. The amount of my recipe just made 2 Christmas tree cakes
