My Neighbor Totoro Puffs
1.
The milk, butter and sugar in the main ingredients are heated in a small pot over low heat until they melt, then turn off the heat after boiling
2.
High-gluten flour is mixed with cocoa powder and black sesame powder. If you don’t have black sesame powder, you can use cocoa powder instead
3.
Sift the flour from step 2 into the liquid from step 1, and mix well with a spatula
4.
Cool slightly to about fifty or sixty degrees, add small amounts of whole egg liquid one by one, and mix well each time before adding to the next
5.
Until the batter can pull up a long inverted triangle on the spatula, the puff paste is ready
6.
Put the batter into the piping bag, use the round mouth piping nozzle or directly cut the piping bag. Extrude the approximate body shape on greased paper or a non-stick baking pan, and use a spatula to separate the two ears on the head
7.
Put it into the middle layer of the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes on the upper and lower fire for 180. The specific time increases or decreases according to the size of the head
8.
After baking, take it out and let cool. It’s best not to leave the oven when roasting, because the cocoa is dark in color and it’s easy to get over-baked.
9.
The chocolate melts in water, put it into a piping bag with a small opening, and squeeze out the eyes and belly
10.
Draw lines on the nose and beard
11.
Use green chocolate to draw the green leaves above the head
12.
Whip the whipped cream with fine sugar, put it in a piping bag, insert it from the middle and lower part of the back, and squeeze it into the body.
Tips:
The weather is too cold and the chocolate solidifies too fast, so I can only blow it with a hair dryer from time to time. The green leaves on the top of the head can also be dried with fondant
