The season for eating lotus root is here. I failed to do it once before, but it was a success this time!

Ingredients

Osmanthus Honey Juice Lotus Root

1. Soak the sweet-scented osmanthus with boiling water and set aside.

2. Soak the glutinous rice in water for about 30 minutes.

3. Fill the soaked glutinous rice into the lotus root.

4. Don't throw away the cut lotus root, it must be sealed with a toothpick before cooking.

5. My casserole is broken, so I can only use a saucepan. The same goes for brown sugar and rock sugar.

6. The sweet-scented osmanthus that has been soaked before is brought in with water. The water should be level with the lotus root.

7. Bring to a boil first, then turn to low heat and cook for an hour and a half.

Tips:

The water used to cook the lotus root should be level with the lotus root. I found that the water was running out after I got out of the pot. I only put a small piece of rock candy, so it's not that sweet. Those who love sweets can put more rock candy. I use a little bit more sweet-scented osmanthus, so friends who want to try can put less.
