Osmanthus Lotus Rice
1.
Take two lotus roots, wash, peel, and cut lids (best soak in water for a period of time, or not peeled according to personal taste)
2.
Take a small bowl of glutinous rice and soak for an hour (stuff the unsoaked glutinous rice in the lotus root until the lotus root is ripe, it will be very hard, not soft)
3.
Take six sweet red dates and set aside
4.
I use fresh sweet-scented osmanthus to make it, and friends can also buy sweet-scented sweet-scented osmanthus to make it (but fresh sweet-scented osmanthus is particularly fragrant). Soak the fresh sweet-scented osmanthus in salt water for a while, put it in a basket and rinse with water. Do not rub it with your hands.
5.
Slowly stuff the soaked glutinous rice into the lotus root with chopsticks. Do not stuff the glutinous rice too tightly, otherwise it will affect the soft glutinous taste. Cover the lotus root cover and insert a toothpick to fix it.
6.
Put the stuffed lotus root joints into the rice cooker, sprinkle in red dates and brown sugar (rock sugar is also acceptable, you don’t need to put too much sugar in advance, add part of it in the middle or at the end, otherwise it will be too sweet at once, which will affect the taste), and finally sprinkle Add a portion of fresh osmanthus and start to cook for 2-3 hours. I simmered the rice cooker slowly at night, and I can eat it in the morning!
7.
It is finally ready to be out of the pot. At this time, you can sprinkle the remaining fresh osmanthus into the pot to increase the fragrance.
8.
Take out the cooked lotus roots and slice them into a plate, pour some soup, and you can eat a delicious and hygienic sweet-scented osmanthus glutinous rice lotus root!
Tips:
If you want to be softer, you can cook it longer! In addition, the fresh sweet-scented osmanthus is really delicious! Hee hee
