Red Beans, Red Dates and Honey Rice Dumplings

Soak the red beans in clean water for 5 hours.

After washing the glutinous rice, put it in clean water and soak for 5 hours.

Wash the wet zong leaves and set aside (dry zong leaves need to be boiled for use)

Wash the red dates, remove the nucleus and cut into pieces for later use.

Pick two zong leaves and place the smaller one on the inside.

Roll up into a funnel shape.

Add the soaked red dates, glutinous rice and red beans.

After wrapping the zongzi, tie the zongzi a few times with a rope to prevent the zongzi from falling apart.

Wrap the rice dumplings one by one and put them in the basin.

Put the rice dumplings in the pot, place them tightly, and put some washed eggs. Pour in water, no more than rice dumplings. Cook for 1 hour on medium heat, simmer for a few hours or overnight for better taste.

The fragrant and soft red bean and red date honey dumplings are on the table. You can add some brown sugar juice or sprinkle some white sugar, both are excellent choices!
Tips:
The cook used two kinds of zong leaves, the wet green one, and the dry yellow-green one, and they taste very good.
