Red Dates and Chinese Wolfberry Stewed Flower Maw

It takes twelve hours to soak the isinglass in warm water. I soaked it the night before and simmered it the next day.

Cut the soaked fish glue into pieces, and feed it with ginger and cooking wine (or white wine) for ten minutes to remove the fishy smell. My home is scallion ginger cooking wine is not suitable for me, so I used some white wine.

Add pure water to the stewing pot (or casserole), and master the amount of water by yourself. Don't dry the pot because it will take three hours to simmer. Add a little red dates, wolfberry, rock sugar, and a teaspoon of brown sugar.

Bring to a simmer, boil on high heat, and simmer slowly for 3 hours. (True isinglass will not melt) You can eat out of the pot after 3 hours
