Red Dates, Yam and Barley Congee
1.
Prepare rice (pearl rice, sticky rice can be used, different places eat different rice), wheat and barley. Wash and put in a casserole, and fill with a moderate amount of water (to prevent insufficient water when boiling later)
2.
Wash the yam before scraping, in case the yam gets dirty when you scrape it.
3.
Simmer the rice and barley for about 20 minutes and observe the changes in the rice and barley. Seeing that some are cooked, add the red dates and boil it together.
4.
After adding the red dates, add some boiling water, cook for 5 minutes and then add the yam, then add some boiling water, and cook for another 5 minutes.
5.
After all the ingredients are boiled together, that is, 5 minutes after adding the yam, add some rock sugar and simmer for 5 minutes on low heat, then turn off the heat. After turning off, remember not to serve the bowl right away, simmer for 5 minutes, so that the taste will be better. Better.
Tips:
1. After washing the yam, remember to cover your hands with vinegar before scraping, so that your hands will not be itchy from the yam after scraping.
2. The fire is always low after boiling.
3. The actual cooking time is determined.
