Red Robe Lotus Seed

Prepare materials.

Wash the red dates and soak them in water for 2 hours.

Soak the lotus seeds in advance, remove the heart of the lotus seeds and set aside

Soak the glutinous rice for 6 hours in advance, add water to the boiling pot and blanch the glutinous rice for 2 minutes.

Remove the blanched glutinous rice, dry it and set aside.

Add a little water to the wok and bring to a boil.

Add the brown sugar to the water, boil the brown sugar on low heat, add a little lard and fry together.

Bring the brown sugar to a boil, pour it on the glutinous rice with controlled moisture while it is hot, add a little corn oil, and stir well.

Add water to the boiling pot to cook the soaked lotus seeds and remove them for later use.

Cut the soaked red dates and set aside. Embed the lotus seeds one by one in the red dates.

Take an empty bowl, grease the bowl with oil, and place the red dates with lotus seeds on the bottom of the bowl neatly.

Put the mixed glutinous rice in a bowl with red dates, wrap it with plastic wrap, and steam for 30 minutes in a steamer.

After steaming, buckle into the plate and pour honey or sugar on it.
Tips:
1. Soak the lotus seeds for a longer time. Just wait for the lotus seeds to swell up
(I made it the night before and used it the next morning).
2. It is best to boil the lotus seeds first, so that they will mature easily.
3. Add heavy oil to the glutinous rice to make it more fragrant. You can also add corn oil.
4. If you don't like too sweet, you can eat it directly without pouring honey.
