Retort Cake
1.
Soak the kidney beans and peanuts overnight, wash and control them to dry. The picture shows kidney beans. Soak glutinous rice for three hours
2.
Steam the red dates on the pot for 10 minutes, take them out and cut them (you can also use chopsticks to poke the jujube cores when they are just out of the pot)
3.
Boil water in the wok, add the soaked glutinous rice, the water is as high as the rice, do not turn off the heat, keep stirring the rice, wait until it is soaked, turn off the heat, and then stir for a while to prevent it from sticking to the pan
4.
Wash a clean container and wipe the edges with a little oil. Spread a layer of rice first, then a layer of peanuts or kidney beans, and repeat until the glutinous rice is used up. Spread the red dates on the top and press it after the spreading (I didn't press it, and finally felt that the dates and rice did not stick together). Put a little more water in the steamer, put it on the grate, and then steam for 40 minutes after the high heat is boiled.
5.
When I got out of the pot, I pressed it a bit, and it didn't feel too sticky. I can also mix rice and beans completely together. Put some in a bowl, add sugar and stir according to your taste, then serve.
Tips:
It is best to use a pressure cooker, the steamed product is more waxy.
