Rice Cake
1.
Wash the red dates and remove the pits in advance, soak them in boiling water for two hours, and turn the red dates up and down twice to ensure that the red dates are fully soaked.
2.
Add boiled water to the yellow rice noodles (add in small amounts for several times), and stir with chopsticks to form a noodle-like shape.
3.
Add the soaked red dates and knead well to make the red dates and the yellow rice noodles better blend together.
4.
Add honey beans and knead well.
5.
It is made in the shape of a watou (hollow at the bottom), but the head is much larger than the watou. I divided the reconciled dough into 14 small doughs, and placed seven on the upper and lower drawers, one pot fits just right.
6.
Moisten the steaming cloth with water, spread it on the steamer, arrange the dough in turn, and boil the water for 35 minutes.
7.
Open the lid and let it cool until it is not hot. Put all the small rice cake balls in a basin and knead (turn into a large dough), divide them into two or three equal parts, arrange them into rectangles and let cool.
8.
Cool thoroughly, cut into thin and even slices, put them into fresh-keeping bags, and put them in the refrigerator for storage.
9.
When you want to eat, take out a few slices, steam it in a steamer or fry it~
10.
I use fried rice cakes, soft and sweet, super delicious~
Tips:
1 When making noodles, be sure to add less water to make a harder dough. Because the soaked red dates contain water, even if there is a little dry powder, it will be fine, and it will not be obvious after steaming.
2 Red dates are increased or decreased appropriately according to personal preference. Too little red dates are not delicious. You can increase honey beans appropriately.
