Shepherd Pie (cottage Pie)

Remove the blood from the shredded beef and wash it.

Cut the shredded beef into small pieces, marinate the meat with salt, black pepper, thyme, rosemary, coriander, and brandy for 10 minutes. The ingredients are shown in the picture.

Add water and salt in a pressure cooker to cook the kidney beans until tender and take out. Dice the onion and mushrooms for later use.

Wash potatoes, peel and steam until crisp, put them in a large bowl, mash them with a rolling pin or spoon, add 1 teaspoon of salt, 20 ml of milk, and 10 g of melted butter and mix well.

Put 20 grams of butter in the pot, heat it over medium heat until the butter has melted, then add onions and sauté until fragrant, then add the chopped shiitake mushrooms and meat cubes and fry until cooked. Wrap the baking tray (6 inch square baking tin is used here) with tin foil, put in a shallow layer of mashed potatoes and flatten, then pour in the fried vegetable meat.

After all the vegetable meat is evenly covered on the bottom mashed potatoes, pour in the remaining mashed potatoes and smooth the surface with a spoon.

Sprinkle a layer of cheese powder on the surface, then cut the mozzarella cheese into strips, lay out your favorite pattern, or shred and cover the entire surface. Preheat the oven at 160°C for 20 minutes, then bake at 200°C for 5-10 minutes.
Tips:
1. Shredded beef can also be replaced with other favorite meats.
2. The materials other than meat are not limited to mushrooms and beans. You can also add tomatoes, carrots, zucchini, diced eggplants, etc. (preferably not green leafy vegetables).
3. If you want to bake a pattern, use mozzarella cheese. Otherwise, you can replace it with any cheese you like.
