Golden threads are a species of Nemipterus in the Nemipteridae family of Perciformes. The body is oval, slightly elongated, flat on the side, up to 35 cm long, and is covered with small comb scales. Distributed in the Western Pacific region, including Japan, South Korea, China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia and other waters, China is produced in the South China Sea, the East China Sea and the southern part of the Yellow Sea.
