Steamed Yellow Sand Clam with Garlic Pepper
1.
Buy the clams and keep them in clean water for 1-2 hours, let them spit out the sand, then wash them and remove them for later use.
2.
Garlic is whole, removed and cut into diced pieces for later use (you can also cut into minced garlic).
3.
Steamed clams are an indispensable chili sauce. This time I used Zhitian chili sauce, but because it was too spicy, I only added 1 teaspoon in it. If you can eat spicy food, you can add more. The specific amount depends on your personal acceptance of spicy taste.
4.
Add 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 teaspoon of Zhitian hot sauce, a little pepper, and a little water to the garlic cubes to make garlic spicy sauce.
5.
Wash the cucumber and cut into cubes diagonally.
6.
Spread cucumber cubes on the bottom of the dish first, and then evenly put yellow clams on top (if you have a large pot, use a larger dish, so you don’t have to worry that the clams at the bottom will not be cooked because of pressure), and then add on top Add the garlic chili sauce made just now, steam it in water for 8 minutes, and taste this small and sweet food.
Tips:
If you have a large pot at home, be sure to spread the clams evenly on top with a larger dish, so you don't have to worry that the clams at the bottom will not be cooked because of pressing.
