Tang Bu Shao, also known as Ruyi Fruit, is one of the traditional local dishes in Guangdong Province and belongs to Cantonese desserts. The taste is absolutely crispy, sweet, refreshing, but not greasy, and it is fragrant and suitable for all ages. Tang Bu Shao is the twin brother of glutinous rice balls, adding ginger juice is especially good for coldness.

The sugar is not shaken. The method is simple. Cook the glutinous rice flour directly, roll it into a pill, cook it with hot syrup in an iron pan, and then sprinkle with crushed fried peanuts or shredded fried eggs.

Origin allusion

So what is the origin of this "candy not dumping"? It is also rumored to be related to the Eight Immortals. In the nineteenth year of Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty, many people in Dongkeng Town, Dongguan, Guangdong took opium. On February 2nd of the early spring, due to the proliferation of drugs, the people were struggling to make a living, so they rushed to Dongkeng for the "Selling Festival". The men hired by the rich were few and strong. Most of them were yellow and thin, and their labor was diminished. After hearing this, Lu Dongbin, the god of the big eight holes in the sky, hurriedly hit the pill to cure addiction, and to purify all sentient beings. But the good medicine is bitter, and it is offensive to go down to the world in private. So Lu Xianren hid the elixir in the cooked glutinous powder pill, and boiled it with syrup to make a sweet, slippery and delicious "sugar not shake" (taken from the meaning of "the powdered sugar does not separate the pill"), and turned into a burden. The old man who sells is half-selling and half-delivering from the street to the end of the market. After everyone ate it, they really killed the opium poison and recovered their physical and mental strength. The twenty-four solar terms of the lunar calendar are inverted, and Dongkeng's "candy not dumping" is famous for this reason.

The taste is absolutely crisp and sweet"
