Sugar Roasted Chestnuts

Wash the chestnuts and wipe the moisture from the chestnuts

Cut each chestnut down the waist with a kitchen knife. Don't be too violent at this step, just cut the inner skin, cut too deep, the chestnut will not be easy to peel when it is broken.

Tips:
1. Olive oil can be replaced with corn oil, or butter, etc.;
2. Sugar can be replaced with honey, maple syrup, etc.;
3. Pay attention to your own safety when using a knife on chestnut, and don't hurt your hands;
4. The knife mark on the chestnut does not need to be too deep, just cut the epidermis and inner membrane;
5. For the oven version of sugar-roasted chestnuts, don't choose the large ones, the medium ones are easier to roast and roast thoroughly;
6. The baking time after brushing with sugar water depends on the size of your chestnuts.
