1.
Cut a square piece of puff pastry about 10 cm in length and width. (The method of Melaleuca meringue is explained in detail in the butterfly cake)
2.
Leave about 1.5 cm along the inside of the square puff pastry and cut another square. Be careful not to cut one of the diagonal corners.
3.
Brush with a layer of egg wash.
4.
Cut off the two opposite corners and fold them in half to the opposite side, paste and align them, and then brush with a layer of egg wash. Put it in the middle of the oven, heat up to 180 and lower to 150, and then take it out for about 15 minutes. After baking, you can fill the place where the meringues cross on both sides with jam.
Tips:
1. Cut the square puff pastry can also be bigger, and the cross area will be bigger after baking. The filling can also be more jam.
2. Cut the square puff pastry not too small, it will shrink during the baking process, plus the height, if it is too small, the shape will not be visible.
3. The temperature of the oven can be determined according to the situation of your own oven.
