I bought 2 red fish a few days ago. One was steamed the same day, and the other was frozen in the freezer. It was not suitable for steaming because it was frozen for a few days. There was half a piece of tofu at home, so they were braised together.

Tofu Braised Red Fish

1. Wash the red fish, cut in half, wipe the whole body with salt and cooking wine, marinate for 10 minutes to remove fishy

2. Cut tofu into small pieces, chop chives, chopped green onion, slice ginger, peel garlic and set aside

3. Put vegetable oil in the pot to heat, add the fish and fry until golden, turn over and continue to fry until golden on both sides, add sliced ginger and garlic and sauté

4. Pour in soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar and water, add tofu, bring to a boil on high heat, turn to low heat and cook for 5 minutes, add chopped green onion and continue to cook for 1 minute until the fish is cooked through
