Yam and Red Bean Cake Baby Food Recipe

200 grams of yam, 50 grams of red beans, and more than 20 grams of sugar. Ingredients only represent the amount of production and do not represent the baby’s meal consumption

Put the red beans in clean water and soak overnight in advance.
*Soaking in advance can shorten the boiling time of the red beans. Now the weather is getting hotter, you can put it in the refrigerator and soak.

The next day, take out the soaked adzuki beans and put them in the pot, and then add an appropriate amount of water.

Turn on medium-low heat and cook for about 30 minutes, until the beans are fully cooked.
*Boiled to the point that the red beans are crushed with chopsticks, they are fully cooked. The time should be adjusted according to the actual soaking situation and the grams of red beans, mainly based on the ripeness.

Then add sugar, stir fry until the moisture is dry, set aside.
*The amount of sugar can be increased or decreased according to the child's age and taste. If the baby is eight or nine months old, it is fine to not add it.

Peel the yam, cut into small pieces, and steam in a steamer for about 15 minutes.
*You can also use purple sweet potatoes, sweet potatoes, potatoes and other ingredients instead.

Take it out after it's ripe, sieving it into a puree, making the taste more delicate.
*If time is running out and sieving is too troublesome, you can just put it in a large bowl and mash it.

Add 60 grams of honey red beans to the yam puree and mix well.
*The surplus honey red beans will be sealed and refrigerated for a week.

Spread a layer of plastic wrap on the cutting board, then brush the inside of the mold with oil and place it on the plastic wrap.
*Brushing oil on the inside of the mold is to facilitate subsequent demolding, and the plastic wrap on the cutting board can prevent sticking.

Scoop an appropriate amount of honey red bean yam puree into the mold, and then smooth the surface.
*Don't be fixed by the mold, you can find a small bowl to shape it, and then cut into small pieces. Or just take the right amount of yam mud and make small round balls.

Finally, the yam and red bean cake can be eaten directly after unmolding.

Using 2 kinds of ingredients, 4 small cakes were made. Although they are all whole grains, they have a very delicate texture.
After the shaping is completed, it happens to be in a warm state. You can directly let the baby take a spoon and eat it. If it is already cold, you can reheat it again.
