Barbecued Pork with Maltose and Honey Sauce
1.
A piece of plum meat, cut into 2cm thick slices. (I am more than 1700 grams of meat. The marinade should also be increased appropriately.)
2.
Peel garlic, peel and slice ginger.
3.
Put the marinade in a bowl and mix well. (I forgot to take pictures.) You can heat it in the microwave to melt the maltose. Put the meat, garlic, and ginger slices in a fresh-keeping bag, pour the marinade, seal it, massage the meat in separate bags to make it tasteful, and marinate in the refrigerator overnight. If you don’t have a fresh-keeping bag, you can marinate in a large bowl and turn it over a few times during the period.
4.
Take the marinated meat out to warm up, then place the meat on the grill. (Remember to put tin foil on the baking tray, otherwise you will have a headache after baking and cleaning)
5.
Preheat the oven to 400F/200C, put the meat in and bake for 20 minutes.
6.
When baking, make honey sauce. Bring the marinade and maltose to a boil in a small pot, stir until the maltose is completely melted.
7.
When the honey is boiled, there will be a layer of foam. Because there is blood coming out when the meat is cured. Go through a sieve.
8.
Divide the sifted honey juice into two halves, half for brushing the meat, and half for pouring on the barbecued pork.
9.
After the meat has been roasted for 20 minutes, take it out and brush it with honey sauce, turn it over and brush the honey sauce and continue roasting, brush it with honey sauce every 5-10 minutes, turn it over and brush it with honey sauce and bake it again, repeat until the meat is cooked through. Baked for 1 hour in total. (The time is adjusted according to the amount and thickness of the oven and the meat)
10.
After roasting, take out and let cool, ready to slice and eat.
11.
Pour the other half of the honey juice when eating.
12.
The barbecued pork cooked in this way tastes almost the same as the ones sold outside. Homemade, no coloring, eat at ease.
Tips:
1. The temperature and time of the oven are adjusted according to your own oven.
2. The barbecued pork with this recipe is sweeter and has a similar taste to Cantonese barbecued pork with honey sauce.
