Braised Pork with Chestnut in Casserole

Heat oil in a pan and fry until the pork belly changes color and start to produce oil. Add rock sugar and stir fry together with an appropriate amount of star anise and bay leaves. When the star anise and bay leaves are fragrant, add the chestnuts and stir-fry until the chestnuts are broken.

Add shiitake mushroom soy sauce, stir and stir well.

Pour in an appropriate amount of Huadiao wine and simmer for 15 seconds, open the lid, pour in water, turn to high heat and bring to a boil, simmer for 10 minutes.

Pour into the casserole, add enough water at one time and drown the meat and chestnuts (you must add warm water). After the pot is boiled, add the right amount of salt, cover the pot and simmer for 45 minutes.
