Prepare the materials.

Peel the yam, wash and cut into small pieces.

Wash the pork ribs, add water to the pot and boil for a few minutes to remove the blood.

Put the blanched pork ribs, chopped yam, carrots, candied dates and ginger slices into the pot and add appropriate amount of water. After the high heat is brought to a boil, simmer slowly for 1 and a half hours.

Tips:
The yam will change color after being peeled, so it won't change if you add some vinegar to the water.
