Celery and Shrimp Congee
1.
Prepare ingredients: 15g carrots, 15g celery, 4 shrimps, 15g baby porridge rice.
PS: I cleaned the shrimps in advance. Everyone must remove the shrimp threads and shrimp intestines when making them, otherwise there will be a fishy smell!
2.
Rub the carrots into filaments.
PS: Carrots are in the form of filaments, which makes it easier to boil and soften, and they float in the porridge. It feels very beautiful.
3.
After the water is boiled, blanch the celery in the boiling water.
PS: In making this food supplement, Xiaosi’s mother must especially emphasize that even if the baby is over one year old, it is best not to add salt, because the sodium content of celery itself is higher than other vegetables. If you taste it carefully, you will still eat it. The celery has a little salty taste. Babies have very sensitive taste buds, and they can eat a little salty taste, so this rice porridge does not need extra salt if you have celery.
4.
Cut the blanched celery into fine pieces.
PS: The fiber of celery is relatively coarse, it is difficult for babies to chew, so it is best to help babies cut very, very small.
5.
Chop the shrimp into shrimp paste.
6.
Put 3g of starch in the shrimp paste.
PS: When processing this shrimp paste, I add less starch to make the shrimp tender and chewy.
7.
Stir the shrimp paste and starch with chopsticks.
PS: Try to loosen the shrimp meat as much as possible, so that the shrimp meat will not gather into big pieces when it is cooked.
8.
Put the cleaned baby porridge rice into the pot.
9.
Pour 600g of water into the pot.
10.
Simmer on low heat for about 25 minutes to cook the porridge.
PS: When cooking the porridge, stir it to prevent the porridge from overflowing and avoid sticking to the pan.
11.
When the porridge is almost cooked, add the prawns and use a spoon to break up the prawns.
PS: The shrimp meat will gather into small balls when it is poured into the water, so use a spoon to stir quickly to break up the shrimp meat.
12.
When the shrimp turns red, add the chopped celery to the porridge.
13.
Then add the carrot shreds until the ingredients are cooked through.
14.
As soon as carrots were added to the porridge, Xiaosi’s mother was amazed. The celery and shrimp porridge with carrots is not only full of nutrition, but also the color matching is so beautiful!
Tips:
The shrimp meat will gather into small balls when it enters the water, so use a spoon to stir quickly to break up the shrimp meat.
