Chickpeas in Tomato Sauce

Soak the chickpeas for more than 4 hours before cooking.

Put the chickpeas and 2 times the water into a pot on high heat and bring to a boil. Turn to low heat and cook for 20 minutes. If you need the beans to be softer, cook them a little longer and increase the water accordingly.

Add 4 tablespoons of homemade tomato paste and continue to cook until the juice thickens. (For how to make homemade tomato sauce, please see the release on this site on October 15th)
