Christmas Eve Gift-santa's Gingerbread
1.
Soften the butter in water, then pour all the ingredients into a bowl and stir well with chopsticks
2.
Knead the dough by hand, cover it with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator to relax for 1 hour
3.
The loose dough is placed on the chopping board and rolled into a thin sheet with a thickness of about 0.3cm
4.
Use a round mold to carve a big round cake on the rolled dough
5.
Of course, the materials can’t be wasted, the gingerbread molds are used to carve some small gingerbread
6.
Because the round cakes are too big to bulge when they are baked, we use a fork to make some holes on them
7.
Cut into eight equal parts with a knife
8.
Brush a layer of egg water mixed with egg and water on the gingerbread, let it rest and relax for a while
9.
Put it in the preheated 180 degree oven, about 15 minutes, the surface will be slightly yellow
10.
The meringues with icing sugar, then add lemon juice and mix to make meringue frosting
11.
Add some food coloring to some parts, put it into a piping bag and cut a small mouthful
12.
Extrude various patterns on gingerbread
13.
Put some green elements to brush the tree shape, and then decorate it with colored beads
14.
Seal and store after drying! A great gift for Christmas!
Tips:
1. Each time you carve the excess dough and knead it into a ball, let it stand for 20 minutes and then roll it into dough to make other gingerbread, otherwise it will be easy to lose shape!
2. The consistency of the frosting can be adjusted as needed. The icing used to brush the base color can be made thinner and add a little more lemon juice. The icing used to draw lines and patterns can be thicker and less lemon juice added.
