Hedgehog Steamed Buns with Sweet Potato Stuffing
1.
Dissolve the yeast with a small amount of warm water, pour it into the flour, add an appropriate amount of water, and knead it into a smooth dough with moderate hardness. Cover it with plastic wrap and put it in a warm place for proofing.
2.
One small sweet potato, put it in the microwave on high heat for four minutes, take it out, peel it, and mash it with a spoon.
3.
Proof the dough to twice its original volume.
4.
Knead the dough out of the air and divide it into four small doses.
5.
Dump each small dose into a circle, flatten it, and roll it into a thicker round skin. Dump the sweet potato mash into a medium-sized ball and place it on top of the dough.
6.
Wrap the sweet potato balls with the dough like a bun, close the mouth downwards, and then arrange the wrapped packets into an oval with a small front and a large back.
7.
Use small scissors to cut out the hedgehog's thorns and mouth.
8.
Cut out a few small pieces of jujube skins and stick them to the hedgehog's eyes and mouth.
9.
After everything is wrapped, put on a drawer, put cold water into the pot, boil until the water boils, steam for 15 minutes, turn off the heat for two or three minutes, and then open the lid.
10.
Take it out and let it dry on the grill.
