Home Braised Small Yellow Croaker

Prepare all the ingredients and clean the small yellow croaker.

Pour oil in a pot and heat it over high heat, add minced garlic, ginger slices, pepper, star anise, and dried chilies, and saute.

Then pour the cooking wine and cook incense.

Add light soy sauce, salt, and stir well.

Pour in a bowl of water.

Add sugar, green onion, and a part of coriander to the soup, and bring the soup to a boil.

Put the fish in the pot and place them neatly.

Sprinkle some light soy sauce on the surface and sprinkle some coriander.

Cover the pot, turn to medium-low heat, and simmer slowly for 10-15 minutes.

Turn off the heat, simmer for 2-3 minutes, open the lid, sprinkle with the remaining coriander, our little yellow croaker is ready.
Tips:
1. The small bowl for adding water is four inches in size, just barely more than half of the fish.
2. Do not turn the fish during the stewing process to prevent the fish from breaking.
