Homemade Char Siew
1.
Wash the sandwich meat and cut into thick slices about 2 cm. In addition to honey, put the other ingredients in and mix well. It is best to massage the meat for a few minutes, so that the sauce is evenly covered with the meat, marinate for more than 2 hours, and add more flavor on the last night.
2.
Spread the marinated meat on the baking sheet and pour the marinade. (Bakeware is best to be covered with tin foil for easy cleaning)
3.
Cover the baking pan tightly with tin foil.
4.
Put it in the preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
5.
After roasting, pour out the roasting juice, place the meat on the grill, brush both sides with honey, return to the oven and continue roasting for 10-15 minutes, coloring.
6.
Take it out and let it cool.
7.
Slice it and it's ready to eat.
Tips:
1. I don't like to put char siu sauce because it contains some coloring. You can also add char siu sauce, soy sauce, and sugar if you like.
2. Covered with tin foil and roasted, which is equivalent to steaming and roasting. The roasted meat is juicy and tender.
