Homemade Strawberry Jam - The Taste of Spring
1.
Rinse fresh strawberries, soak in light salt water for a while, and drain the water.
2.
Pick the strawberry pedicles.
3.
Pick the strawberry stems. Because I like strawberry jam with pulp, I bought small strawberries specially, so I don't need to cut them again.
4.
Sprinkle an appropriate amount of sugar, you can add it according to your preference.
5.
Add plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for a while. I probably refrigerated it for more than 3 hours.
6.
Some recipes use lemon juice, but I don’t know its purpose. I think it’s probably to extend the shelf life. I didn't have any lemons, so I bought a pineapple and squeezed some pineapple juice for later use. I think the effect should be similar~
7.
Brush the empty bottle, blanch it with hot water for a while, and then the bottle mouth is down, and it is turned upside down. It is said that it can be sterilized. Hehe~ The final facts proved that the small bottle is enough~ Because the strawberry was picked up and eaten secretly. Some O(∩_∩)O
8.
In the afternoon, I took out the strawberry which had been soaked in sugar. The water was out, and I tasted sweet and sour.
9.
A little water is added to the non-stick pan, it is estimated that there will be half a small bowl, and a few pieces of rock sugar are added.
10.
Bring to a boil until the rock sugar is completely melted.
11.
Pour the strawberries into the pot, turn off the heat at this time, stir constantly, and squeeze the strawberries with a spatula.
12.
Add pineapple juice.
13.
At first, the color of strawberries will be very light, but with constant stirring and heating, the color of strawberries will become darker and darker. Strawberries look sticky too~
14.
Keep heating until the juice is almost harvested. According to your preference, if you like more juice, collect less juice, and if you like stickiness, heat it up for a while.
15.
Finally it is very sticky~ Let's have a strawberry love~
Tips:
1. The amount of sugar can be added according to your preference. You can also use rock sugar instead of sand sugar.
2. Keep stirring during the cooking process to avoid sticking the pot.
3. The container for strawberry jam must be clean without oil and water.
4. Be sure to wash the pan while the strawberry jam is hot, otherwise the sugar sticking to the pan will be difficult to clean.
