The effect of grapefruit: Chinese medicine believes that grapefruit flesh is sweet and sour, cold in nature and non-toxic. Fresh pomelo meat contains insulin-like ingredients and has the effect of lowering blood sugar. It is extremely beneficial to patients with diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. It can treat poor food, light mouth, and indigestion. Regular eating can help digestion, eliminate phlegm, quench thirst, and regulate qi and dispel stagnation. .
I checked the internet to make grapefruit tea to reduce the bitterness, and made it according to Qin Yi's recipe. The taste is really good when finished.

Honey Grapefruit Tea

1. Wash grapefruit peel: first soak with detergent, then rub with fine salt, and finally rinse with 60 degrees hot water

2. Use a scraper to scrape off the skin of the grapefruit, the thinner the better

3. Cut the scraped grapefruit peel into thin filaments, the finer the better

4. Put a little salt in the sliced grapefruit peel

5. Rub vigorously until the grapefruit peel comes out

6. Rinse with clean water, repeat three times, after the last rinse, put it in light salt water, put it in the refrigerator overnight, so that the bitter taste of grapefruit peel will be removed

7. The next day, take out the soaked grapefruit peels, rinse them, put them in a pot with water and salt and cook for another 10 minutes

8. Remove and rinse, dry and set aside. The grapefruit peels now have little bitterness.

11. Put the crushed grapefruit meat, rock sugar and grapefruit skin into a small pot, add a small bowl of water

13. Simmer on low heat, stirring to avoid batter at the bottom of the pot

14. Boil until the moisture is dry and turn off the heat

15. Keep it at room temperature, add honey and stir

16. Put it in an airtight container and keep it in the cold. When you want to drink it, you can take it out for brewing. The longer the time, the less bitterness, but I tasted it at the time. It's really not bitter.
