Honey Grapefruit Tea
1.
A large pomelo, made from Shatian pomelo, is yellow, and the red pomelo I chose is orange-red. Wash with the skin, add salt to rub the grapefruit skin
2.
Use a plane to remove all the skin
3.
Then use a knife to cut shreds, add salt and knead and marinate for more than half an hour. If you don’t pick the grapefruit meat first, leave the white skin to keep it fresh
4.
Wash off the salt, then soak in salt water. I usually soak for one night. If you like the bitter taste, you can shorten the soaking time. If you like the bitter taste, you can change the water and continue to soak for a few hours after soaking overnight.
5.
After washing the grapefruit peel, put it in a pot and boil. Bring water to boil and turn to low heat. At this time, I started grilling grapefruit meat
6.
The water used to cook the grapefruit peel is poured out, and the grapefruit peel is finally rinsed. Rock sugar, grapefruit meat, add a small bowl of water and cook with the grapefruit peel. Do not use too much water, the grapefruit meat will produce a lot of water. Just make sure the pot is not burnt
7.
The pomelo meat will be scattered after boiling for a while, slowly turning orange-red. It doesn't matter if you turn on the high heat in the front, but at the end, you must turn off the heat and keep stirring. Sugar is especially easy to burn
8.
Boil until the water is almost dry, spread out and let cool. Because high temperature will destroy the nutrients of honey
9.
Sterilize and dry the container with hot water, put half of the grapefruit, add a layer of honey, and then add the grapefruit until it is 80% full, and finally cover the honey. Generally honey will seep downwards, grapefruit will float upwards
10.
Keep it in the refrigerator for 3-5 days, and let the honey and grapefruit fully fuse. Sweet honey citron tea, sterilized well, refrigerated can be stored for more than three months
Tips:
The same volume of grapefruit is selected for a good bottling temperature. The container, chopsticks and spoons used should be sterilized and dried with boiling water, so that they can be stored for a longer time.
