The WeChat public account "Baby Nutritional Supplements" contains 500 nutritional supplements I have made for my baby. With these 500 supplementary food recipes, I no longer have to worry about what my baby will eat. Xiaosi's mother will share baby food supplements for 6-24 months in this public account.
Red dates are added to this bowl of laba porridge. When the porridge is being cooked, the sweetness of red dates is floating everywhere in the kitchen. I didn't add a little sugar, but the porridge made was very sweet. The baby's taste buds are very sensitive, and he is fond of this sweet taste, so he drank a big bowl in minutes!
The combination of whole grains and fine grains can balance the baby's dietary structure and is very nutritious. The raw materials of Laba porridge can be matched at will, but at least there should be cereals and beans. These two types of foods complement each other in nutrition and are simply a perfect match. Nuts, dried fruits, etc. can also be added to make Laba porridge more comprehensive in nutrition.
In order to facilitate digestion and absorption, babies aged 11-18 months can choose only 3-4 ingredients to cook porridge. For younger babies or babies with weak chewing ability, the cooked Laba porridge can be stirred into a delicate rice paste.

Ingredients

Laba Congee

1. Prepare ingredients: 15g rice, 15g millet, 10g brown rice, 10g black rice, 10g peanuts, 10g red rice, 3 jujubes, and 2 walnuts.

PS: To make this laba porridge, you don't need to worry about the amount of ingredients, just a small handful of each. I can probably make two bowls of porridge with these ingredients, and I can add some more mochi to the whole family to enjoy.

2. Wash the brown rice, black rice, red rice, and peanuts and soak them for about 4 hours in advance, and soak the red dates for about 15 minutes in advance.

PS: Some whole grains are more difficult to boil, such as brown rice, black rice, etc., so be sure to soak 4 hours in advance, and then put them into the pot with other ingredients. Soak red dates in advance because the surface of red dates is not easy to clean, so the floating ash on the surface can be removed by soaking.

3. Take out the walnuts and chop them.

PS: For younger babies, you can use a blender to mix the walnuts into fines, or use a rolling pin to crush them into fines, so as to prevent your baby from choking.

4. Then remove the pits from the red dates and cut the red dates into small pieces.

PS: When Ma Ma cooks Laba porridge for babies, it is best not to omit the red dates, because the red dates can make the porridge very sweet. Use the natural sweetness of the red dates to flavor the eight-treasure porridge. If your baby doesn't like to drink porridge, you can also add two red dates to season it.

5. Then put all the ingredients into the rice cooker.

PS: Compared with refined fine grains, coarse grains are more nutritious. They contain more vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber and phytochemicals. We can add a little less coarse grains when we cook porridge and rice for our babies. ~

Tips:

Although coarse grains are rich in nutrients, they are not easy to boil, so it must be soaked for more than 4 hours in advance to facilitate the baby's digestion and chewing.
Do not add sugar when cooking Laba porridge, just use the natural sweetness of red dates to season the porridge. Don't develop the habit of not drinking porridge without sugar!
